I am an experienced production designer with an eye for clean design, knowledge of technical production and an attraction to creative problem solving. I like to figure out how things work. I have a background in carpentry and construction which initially I hated, but with time I have grown to understand its value.
For twelve years, I found myself in the garment industry designing trim concepts for clothing brands, and helping them develop their external product marketing to be used in stores. I became comfortable working in this industry, progressing from the role of pre-production designer to Creative Director, leading a small team and managing projects for US and UK offices. In this time, marketing and branding Talon International Inc. was a responsibility I took seriously, I embraced the company’s identity, pushed it forward when I could, and hopefully left it in a better place when I left. The nature of my role in the company was multi-faceted and helped me develop as a jack-of-all-trades designer who steps up to the needs of a company, puts ego aside, and gets the work done.
I also enjoy working with small business owners, to help them develop identities which elevate their brand.
